About the Crazy Frog trend

Crazy Frog is one of the oldest internet characters still getting remade. The sound came first: in 1997, Daniel Malmedahl, then a teenager in Gothenburg, Sweden, recorded himself imitating a two-stroke moped engine to make his friends laugh. The recording spread online, and in 2003 another Swede, the animator Erik Wernquist, drew a small blue creature in a motorcycle helmet to go with it and called it "The Annoying Thing". A ringtone company later bought the rights and renamed it Crazy Frog, and in 2005 a version set to Harold Faltermeyer's "Axel F" (the Beverly Hills Cop theme) became a chart hit in the UK.

The Crazy Frog AI template puts you in the starring role of a short, high-energy Crazy Frog-style clip. Upload a photo of yourself, a friend who said yes, or your pet, and Genjutsu carries the original clip's motion, camera and audio over to your subject.

Genjutsu is Higgsfield's motion-transfer model, and Genjutsu Generator runs it as an independent app. We use the first 15 seconds of the clip and bill per second, rounded up, so you know the exact cost before you generate. The app isn't open yet. Join early access to be first in line when the Crazy Frog template goes live.

How to make your Crazy Frog video

  1. Choose your rider

Pick one person or pet to star. One subject per clip works best for this template.

  2. Upload 1 to 8 photos

Use clear, well-lit photos of the same subject. A full-body or waist-up photo helps the model match a moving pose.

  3. Pick a resolution

480p is cheapest and fine for a phone feed. 720p or 1080p looks sharper. The credit cost shows on the Generate button.

  4. Generate and check

Watch the result through once before posting. If a limb or face looks off, try a clearer photo.

Tips for a better Crazy Frog video

  • A full-body photo standing straight on works better than a selfie taken at arm's length.
  • Plain backgrounds in your photo help the model separate you from the scene.
  • Keep the original audio for the meme to land, but expect platforms to flag the music sometimes.
  • Don't add the Crazy Frog character's own branding to your post; the joke is that it's you.
